“I like the idea of this podcast - taking a common piece of art, entertainment or idea and then using that as a jumping off point for a political and philosophical discussion. The main issue, however, is that this trio spend all their time agreeing with each other (usually about how apocalyptic their latest definition of “woke” is). They forever bemoan the same old issues and use a liberal dose of straw-men arguments, particularly when it comes to criticising the political left: but this ends up leaving the impression of someone forever screaming into the ether about how the world’s gone mad, about how sane they are and how everyone secretly agrees with them and why can’t anyone else see how normal and right they are.
A bit more disagreement - a bit more critiquing of their own assumptions, biases and logical flaws - as opposed to constant agreement and patting each other on the back would be appreciated. That said, the show overall is fine, it just could do with a bit more political and philosophical balance.”
