Andrew Smith helps us understand Lewis' views on Scientism and how it differs from Science. Andrew Smith is the Dean of Academics at Veritas School in Virginia. He has been a teacher and administrator in classical Christian schools for twenty years. Before joining Veritas, he was Director of Upper School at The Geneva School in Florida and Head of Upper School at Westminster Academy, in Memphis, Tennessee. Andrew’s academic work has focused primarily on Rhetoric in curriculum development and teacher training. From 2008-2010, he hosted the Memphis Rhetoric Symposium, and since then he has been a consultant and teacher trainer for several schools. Additionally, he is a National Alcuin Fellow and the Mid-Atlantic Director for the program.
