“I’m somewhat addicted to podcasts now. All the Crooked Media shows , the NYer Radio Hour, Malcolm Gladwells stuff, Deconstructed , Deep Background, Ezra Klein , Why is This Happening .... But this one is one of the best. The writing and presentation is so good , and the stories so compelling. For instance - yes we all know about the abject failure of the US ability to deploy a basic national health care plan - but the way Jill Lepore writes and delivers this history - the context , the sub-characters provides a rich and dramatic tapestry of learning. Just ... fantastic.”
