“As someone who loves the storytelling in the original video game, I was skeptical at the announcement of the series. Shows based on IP have a fine tightrope to tread, where they must have fidelity to the source material while bringing fresh perspective to things fans love. But the show is already off to a great start and I am very excited to see where this goes. Troy Baker, the original VA for Joel in the games, is a great host who guides the conversation well. Druckmann and Mazin provide wonderful commentary that colors the episode without condescending. Very excited to enjoy this podcast that will help to flesh out a rich and powerful story. Here’s hoping that Troy will continue to do an amazing job that brings the nuance behind the performances to light.”
