Josh-isms
Josh is so wise. Every time I listen to him, it feels like I become a slightly better person. God has given him a ton of wisdom AND the ability to communicate it. I love his Josh-isms - like instead of saying, “You should start recruiting really early,” he says, “When’s the best time to start recruiting? 5 weeks ago.” So memorable. Looking forward to more episodes. Thanks, Josh! Update: I appreciated the shout-out to introverts and their super-power of listening in episode 6. Also, a pastor from another church invited me out to lunch to pick my brain about a sticky volunteer situation they were facing, and ask how I would handle it. My answer was totally framed in the 4 C’s you shared. I love that framework. I’ve always said that sometimes volunteers look good from every angle - their spiritual life, their gifting and natural abilities, etc., but for some reason they’re just not a good fit with the team. But that’s not very catchy. But using your framework - explaining that his volunteer ticked 3 of the C boxes, but not the Chemistry box, was a super-clear way to explain it. He totally got it. I looked super-wise. :) And I drove home thanking God that I had listened to your podcasts. Keep up the great work!

I find this podcast to be both motivating and practical! It often gives a big vision view yet brings it down to strategies and techniques we can implement on the ground level to elevate our ministry.
