Informative, passionate, and sometimes quite funny.
I’m getting older, I know, but I remember a time when there was far less daylight between the left and the right. I’m an old-school Lefty, and their politics are about as closely aligned with those old left aims, ironically. The R party has shifted in a tectonic faction since 2017z. But we all saw it coming since the late 80’s, in retrospect. While there are some key differences on personal rights and freedoms, the role of government, and so on, these are trivial by today’s challenges. What I love about these folks is their commitment to country, the desire for success of America, for Americans. I especially appreciate their disdain for Newt G, and the white grievance style politics he inspired. I truly believe we need a strong Conservative movement to help balance our government. We need that balance to ensure we never go too far in one direction or the other. While I’m an affirmed member of the Democratic Party... I can imagine a healthy debate and future with principled conservatives on a host of issues. I can’t imagine doing so with the current Republican QAnon Nationalist Party. Thank you to the entire team, and a shout-out to Ron for making the material accessible and the dialogue interesting.
