“Despite being an agnostic, I felt great sadness as the Cathedral of Notre Dame was burning down and felt terrible for humanity in general and Catholics in particular as this geat monument representing the heights of human achievement neared destruction. I was later relieved to hear that the Crown of Thorns, many of the other religious relics and much of the stained glass and artwork appeared to have survived, as these provide Catholics a conduit to connect with and experience the Divine. Society as it exists today is so polarized as to make it almost impossible for agnostics and believers to carry on menaingful dialogs about life, truth, suffering, compassion, what it is to be human, the nature of reality and so on. The Liturgy Guys are to be applauded for providing everyone access to the deeper meanings found within the Liturgy whereby the faithful can utilize its full potential to realize their faith more profoundly, while those looking in from afar are able to gain a fuller understanding of what drives true believers to seek a life in service to God. Thank you.”
