Should A Believer Tithe? I believe that tithing isn’t mandated in the New Testament but we see several examples of giving I also believe that if a believer has a problem with giving to the body of Christ, they are being defiant against God’s Word. Moreover, I have no problem with the body of Christ giving unto the Church monetarily and of themselves as well by using their gifts, talent, time, etc. Unfortunately, you have some (NOT ALL) Pastors and Church leaders that will try bind and scare their members into giving money to make their pockets fat. I call them Pastoral Pimps, and I have a problem with them taking advantage of the body of Christ. Not to mention, I believe a Church members should give in a selfless and sacrificial manner to help the Church and spread the Gospel Message instead of selfish and personal motives. In addition, I believe that a Believer’s attitudes, intent, and motives should never be based on giving in order to get. Because the Lord will definitely reward a devoted and obedient follower of Him, if they are exhibiting the fruits of the Spirit and not the fruits of flesh, the world, and Satan. Moreover, believers don’t have to try and make God into a genie in a bottle by expecting Him to grant them their every wish. Therefore, the monetary contributions of others that are being made unto the body of Christ shouldn’t sway a believer to misuse the Scriptures as an attempt to get out of giving or give. There are still some “genuine” Churches in America and abroad that are in need of assistance to spread the Gospel message, help their members, and individuals in their communities that are in dire need for the Love, Light, and Obedience of Christ that should be reflected in anyone calling themselves a believer.
