Restored my faith in humanity
The Log Books is really stirring stuff! By listening you get an idea of the individual journeys LGBT people have had to make in finding a space in society they can call home. It covers everything from the accommodation advice service the Switchboard provided to life for people coming from different ethnic backgrounds, moving and sad stories around height of the AIDS epidemic to the joys of coming out, finding lifetime partners and the fun of going out in London’s constantly changing nightlife. The one thing that really stands out is the sense of community; if needing to help each other and overcome all the stuff life throws at us as LGBTQI people. You’ll come away moved and with a feeling if thankfulness and inspiration. A truly stunning record of human kindness and understanding.
