Just what I was looking for!
There is so much great content on the history of LGBTQ+ people in the US but when I tried to find audiobooks on queer history in the U.K. i couldn’t find anything. I’m very glad to have found this podcast on stories closer to home which is REALLY excellent and worth listening to!! Makes you appreciate the rights we have today and also aware of the real and pressing issues many people face in Britain.

Wonderful podcast that shows how to love strangers, colleagues and friends as a contrast to shameful discrimination. “Of course we danced to Joan Armatrading”.... delicious community references and laughs. You don’t need to be a queer to love this or love your neighbours.

Thank you for sharing our history through the Switchboard logbooks, they are a goldmine of queer experiences in the late twentieth century. This podcast is an excellent glimpse into Britain’s LGBTQI+ history.
