Practical, timeless advice
I just love this podcast and the books behind it. Almost every episode applies to my life as a wife and mother. Read on if you are new and want to know why this approach to relationship works. I have read just about every marriage book on the market. What I love about Dr. Emerson Eggerich is that he doesn’t preach. He helps you understand the principles behind the beleaguered Ephesians 5 passage about marriage and breaks them down. It is not preaching “you must submit!” But how this works and the motivation to do it regardless of whether you see it working or not. Eggerichs gives practical steps to move towards healing in your marriage and equips parents to love and correct their children in ways that will build up their character. Just like anything, it is easy to have the knowledge but fall short on application… money management, dieting, etc. I know all about these principles but still revert to my “programming’ and make a mess of things. But when it all falls apart, at least I can understand what happened, apologize for my part, and try again.
