The story is engaging and imediately draws in the listener, but it is excruciating to listen to Ms. Carpenter read it. She souneds angry - especially when trying to voice the characters, shouts the names of the characters and pauses immediately after as if she is reading stage directions, and apparently cannot tell the difference between a comma and a period. Her inflection in sentences and questinos is all wrong. It made me wonder if she actually wrote the story she was reading.
