Meanwhile, Taylor supplies Peter with valuable news about the hospital's new chief of staff's intimate involvement with his employer, Dr. Ilene Shulman, which enables Peter to seize the title for himself. Amanda uses Craig's lust after her to her own advantage to have him sign some papers so she can finally take control of his half of D&D. Alison and Jake set a date for their marriage, but at the last moment, she gets cold feet. Samantha moves in with Billy after she can no longer stand cohabitation with the abrasive and nihilistic Sydney, and Alison soon follows suit with Jake. Megan becomes unhappy when the bed-ridden Kimberly coaxes a promise out of Michael to be with her through her last weeks, and to refrain from having sex with Megan until after Kimberly dies. Sydney tries to get Carter to talk to her after Walter forbids her from seeing him again. After Craig lies to Peter that Amanda and him are deeply involved, he runs to Taylor for comfort.
