“I enjoy Michael J. Matt and his presentation of the Catholic News that interfaces with our contemporary world. He communicates a rare characterization of the bad news, followed by the good news of the day. Peppered with just enough sardonic humour accompanied by a hilarious fatigue that comes with being in the sixth decade of ones life; no doubt caused by the mishaps of the Vatican, Rome and the entire comedia del arte theatrical like atmosphere. For me he encapsulates, the consummate modern Catholic man who is fed up with the shenanigans of the key players on the Catholic stage. Michael J. Matt combines a dogged perseverance to communicate hope and faith regardless of the confusion and nonsense news of the day coming out of Italy and the Catholic world. He is a straight shooter who does not waste his words or efforts. I think he could do stand up Catholic comedy if he chose to! Humour is an important element in his delivery. He expects you to take responsibility and make a commitment to discerning the leading of Christ in your life and your community today. His evocative style of communication asks the viewer a urgent question: Are you willing to stand with him and the Remnant Church for what Christ is asking of you now?”
