“I actually had lunch with Michael while visiting the US from Asia, back in 2010 or 2011, Indian food in a great Santa Monica restaurant, that was after I touched base following a read of his amazing book, a book I still reference once in a while. I have been full time trader for 25 years now, that is how I make my living. I see no news, I watch no CNBC, I read no Bloomberg, the only trading related podcast I listen to is Michael Martin, and any interview I can find of Ed Seykota, that is all you need, because at the end of the day, none of us trade the screen, we trade ourself. Trading is a path of self discovery, that is all it is, Samurais do it with swords, we do it with a mouse and money on the line. Michael is a rare breed, a guy that trades, traded for few decades, and understand trading, not a marketer that got lucky trading GameStop on YouTube, as sadly is common these days. The dedication to put almost a 1,000 episodes for free, for those that want to learn, is amazing. I just came off a 12 hour flight and spent large part of it, listening to Michael, and I am proud, not ashamed to say, after 25 years, I am learning, and keep learning….Gift to the community.
