Penny Lancaster interview
I listened to this podcast today and it made me cry but empowered me. I am 47, feel certain that I am in perimenopause but having recently contacted my GP about my mental and physical symptoms I got no help or support. Now I feel like I am in the middle of nowhere. Listening to this really lifted me and informed me but it was quite emotional thinking about what women have to go through with such little proper support, be that via the doctor or with one’s partner. Not just perimenopause but ivf and just menstuation and all that just menstruation involves, dealing with flooding tampons/sanitary towels/moon cups when trying to deal with children, on the hip and on the run, staining your underwear and clothing and thinking how can I get back to the car and cover myself when in public. There will be a gazillion stories from women of all ages about that and the stress/despair/humiliation it brings. Thank you Gaby, thank you Penny. Please keep talking about all aspects of being a middle aged woman a mother and wife. Even the ugly stuff. Thank you. X

Didn’t know what to expect but the first guest really hooked me. Found the input of the sports director for BBC (sorry can’t remember his name) really interesting and hilarious talking about MAMIL. Can’t wait for more!
