“I’ve read a few people assessing/criticizing Mikhaila’a introductions to her Dad’s podcast the past year or two (not to mention blowback for her views on the carnivore diet). I actually enjoyed her often dry, deadpan sense of humor. I also tried to not compare her to Jordan. She’s a young woman finding her own way. When she made public announcement about her marriage issues a while back, I was appalled at the criticism she received.
So for the podcast I tried to take her on her own terms and she rather surprised me with her interview skills. I liked her style for the one with Jordan and have already listened to four more with the rest queued up. She asks good questions, listens well, and chimes in with her own experiences enough to be relatable without derailing the guest.
She’s not Jordan, but neither am I and neither are you. Let her be her own person. I’d encourage you to give her podcast a try on its own merit. You might be pleasantly surprised!
7/18 UPDATE: I’ve now also listened to the first few episodes focused on diet and mind-altering drugs. Not my thing, so I ended up skipping the last half of most. I’ll stick with my first impression of the newer episodes and keep listening. Prefer the broader topics and guests.”
