I hate to say it…
But for all of the outstanding artists featured on this podcast, the host Tyler Green does not seem to do them justice as an interviewer. Sure he often does some very good research in preparing for the interviews, but he oftentimes sounds apathetic and even bored during these. Sometimes (and I’m remembering the episode with Roni Horn), it’ll become clear that he’s not interpreting the work correctly, the artist will even correct him, but he will fail to be sensitive, he keeps barreling through with inane questions.

Wonderful interviews that cover current and historical art histories. Always generous and surprising in its scope.

An excellent and informative podcast. I always seek out the conversations with or about painters but there's also lots to gain and discover about other art forms and practitioners.Read full review »
