You’ll hear how weird, or even bad films, plagued filmmakers for years, after (sometimes just one) viewing- seeping into their own creative unconsciousness only to reappear years later in their own work. It’s particularly great when you come across a film that has plagued you too (for me it was Landis talking about Soapdish).
