Yes, that piece of muscle in the middle of your instrument can be a right pain in the neck (actually though). It's position is important for physiological reasons as well as acoustic reasons, and hence it's effect on the voice is massive! It's knowing what to do with it however.  Let us guide you through the world of tongue tension release, and placement for optimum power and resonance.
