Hilarious and informative! Like nerding out with friends.
I am so happy to have discovered the New Flesh podcast! Listening to Joe and Brett and their guests is like sitting around nerding out with friends who love horror movies. After watching Hellraiser II some years back and ranting about it my good friend suggested I do a podcast complaining about bad horror movies. Well Brett and Joe did just that! Only they don’t limit themselves to bad movies. Their love for their subject is clear, and part of what makes the show so much fun. I like how they frequently talk for an hour or so before getting to the movie mentioned in the title of the episode and sometimes get derailed cracking themselves up with jokes. Listening with headphones I will often start laughing out loud and get some strange looks from my wife. Of course I also appreciate that they started time-stamping the parts of the episode where conversation about each movie begins in case you want to skip ahead. But then you would miss What Did You Watch? and Bits and Pieces, and the entertaining theme music Joe creates for the segments each episode! I really appreciate the depth of research and knowledge the hosts and their guests bring to the discussions. My entree to the show was the more recent series of episodes with Brett and Jesse Hassenger about the Halloween franchise. That was all it took for me to fall down the rabbit hole, and I’m glad I did. Thanks for the pod!

My fave podcast, perfect for fans of the horror genre. The recent Texas Chainsaw Massacre series is a great jumping off point if you’ve never listened before. Check it out!

This is a really fun show! The hosts are entertaining, have great rapport, and seem to have a depth of knowledge of the subject, while keeping it interesting enough for a casual horror fan such as myself. I like them both, but tend to agree with Brett more than Joe. Sorry Joe. Keep it up, fellas.
