Description
In this episode of the Newfangled Lawyer Podcast, host Patrick Patino speaks with Molly Hough, a business development coach for female attorneys. Molly shares her mission to empower female attorneys by giving them more control and autonomy over their careers. They discuss the importance of fostering authentic relationships and the value of community in the legal profession.
Molly also discusses her unique concept called the "Coaching Kitchen", a way for attorneys to connect and engage outside the typical setting. These events encourage attorneys to set aside work discussions for the first 30 minutes, focus on meaningful connections, and actively listen to one another.
The conversation explores how the legal profession is evolving, especially with the influence of Gen Z attorneys who seek purpose and fulfillment in their careers. Patrick and Molly emphasize the importance of personalization, community, and mentorship in today's legal landscape.
Molly's dedication to creating a supportive community for female attorneys shines through in her work, and she envisions expanding her impact through memberships, conferences, and retreats in the future.
Molly Hough is the founder of the JurisConsult Institute and current legal counsel at Prime Therapeutics. She is on a mission to teach thousands of women+ attorneys how to build a book of business and provide connection and community for each so that we can change the legal profession for the better by putting more autonomy, control, and money into the hands of women+. She coaches women one on one, in a cohort based eight week mastermind, and through the Coaching Kitchen which is an intimate dinner party and coaching experience for attorneys. You can find her kickboxing during the week and playing pickleball on the weekends. She just adopted an adorable dog named Puffin and she is grateful to have a walking buddy.
