Aron Bender has hosted The News Bender Podcast since early 2019. And I'm going to stop referring to myself in the third person. KFI news editor Nikki Campbell suggested she interview me for the podcast since she's the co-worker who's known me the longest. And I wanted to do something special for my 50th episode. So there we go! We talked about my origin story, my life growing up in Covina, California, how I ended up ditching my business major while going to Mt. SAC in Walnut, and eventually graduating from Cal State Northridge with a broadcast journalism degree. But that's just scratching the surface. Nikki digs deep into my childhood, marriage, fatherhood, successes, failures, how I helped start Charter Oak High School's Black Student Union, and my love for all things Arrested Development (the hip hop group not the TV show) and Boyz II Men.
