“He plays a song called “Congratulations” and it should be directed at himself. Yes this is the Nick D podcast, but all it is from beginning to end is an exercise in patting himself constantly on the back. Over and over again he plugs the same event even in the midst of interviewing a guest. It becomes comical to hear how much he loves himself and his events and his opinions. What’s funny is that he’s often full of hatred of such trivial things like movies too. It’s just sad that someone like this exists and has a platform, contributing nothing but the same lame jokes, stories and self-absorbed promotional material. It’s all about him, him, him even since he left WGN and what’s worse, there’s nothing new here to get excited about. Even his co-host Esma sounds bored and unengaged. Not sure why he hasn’t moved on but I would move on and far away from the Nick D Podcast ASAP.”
