“I have listened to, and been a long time supporter of this show from its genesis. I’ve been here for all of the many producer changes (Rachelle, Krissy, Aly and Amanda) and always appreciated the nuanced perspectives that were discussed and the healthy respectful diologue that existed between Nick and his producers. It was insightful, articulate, and balanced.
In the last year or so the show has taken a sharp turn for the worse. The Ask Nick episodes are tired, with the same advice given over and over with a condescension that has seem to become the tone of these episodes, specifically towards callers that tend to be in their 20s. The juxtaposition of listening to Nick talk down to callers, while his (25yo) wife tries to chime in has become really difficult to listen to.
I now skip Mondays episodes all together because it’s just different iterations of the same advice, just now way more chaotic.
I’m sure Natalie is a great person, but not everyone is meant to be a podcaster. She constantly interrupts, screams, and the weird baby voice she does is distracting. Please consider going back to just nick and one or two producers who contribute something of significance and have some actual life experience
The dialogue between “the household”, and its revolving door of gen z’ers is insufferable. Nick used to sound so intelligent and articulate and now everything “is giving”, and is a level of cringe I really wasn’t anticipating this show being able to reach
Hopefully feedback is taken and things change, until then this podcast is starting to jump the shark.”
