“Using ChatGPT or any other AI application to help do a diagnosis is alarming. Which begs the question, why do we have medical schools? Why do we graduate new doctors every year? And why do doctors perform sub-par that ChatGPT helps them diagnose? These are questions which make patients question their doctors’ qualifications are an indicator of where medicine and medical practice is at these days. I do not want my doctor using AI to diagnose what ails me. I want my doctor to be fully present, professional, and competent to use his/her medical knowledge and experience. If this is the future of medical practice, it is a scary prospect. What next? AI surgery?”
