Juan Bayardo, Transformation
Listen now
Description
In September 2017, the Tucson YWCA hosted Odyssey for the first time, and while the podcast audio suffered from some sound issues, the stories themselves were absolutely incredible. One of the stories came by way of Juan Bayardo, whose "Gigs Across America" would eventually take him to all fifty states...but that kicked off with a startling story of transformation. From Juan's Odyssey bio: Juan Bayardo was just another ordinary guy, cruising through the universe, until he decided to change his path in life. Born in Nogales, Mexico, this immigrant and long-time Tucson resident retired his butcher knives and picked up a pen and paper to begin a new career as a writer. After a couple of completed manuscripts, “Juan John” packed his belongings and hit the road for a fifty-state adventure of a lifetime! Follow Juan's adventures here: http://www.juanjohnsgigsacrossamerica.com/ This story was performed and recorded in front of a live audience at the YWCA in Tucson, AZ, on September 7th, 2017, and was curated by Tony Paniagua. It was originally released on June 28th, 2097, as part of the episode June 2019: Dissent. For more information about Odyssey Storytelling, please visit www.odysseystorytelling.com.
