The door lock gives it away:
So here is my theory: He doesn’t shoot her; he hits her causing blunt force trauma to the head. (That’s how she is able to survive even after an hour left bleeding in the closet.) He hates her but *he loves his children*, so he switches the bathroom doorknob with the closet doorknob and locks the closet door shut from the inside *so that his child is unable to get into the closet and see his mother bleeding on the floor*. This is why when he enters the apartment an hour later, he is not rushing to find the children; he is already at ease that the children are safe and have no access to see their bleeding mother. *The idea of the children getting into the closet with her was obviously on his mind when he spoke to the emergency dispatcher and said “the kids might be in the closet with her; I don’t know.” He was cognizant enough about this to say it to dispatch; yet he DIDNT make an effort to beeline to protect the children from witnessing her suicide? It is beyond clear that he switched the doorknobs to protect his older child from the trauma of walking in on his mom while husband was out of the house forming an alibi. It is 100% clear. This is so obvious.

More reviews of Intent: The Tex McIver Case
This story is important for all young people especially women to hear. Domestic violence can end in horrific ways. This compelling very well told case brings light to a very serious issue.
