What about the love of the sport?
Really sad that the speakers focus on failures, letting their countries down. In every sport there is always going to be a win or loss. Sports is about winning…duh. A true fan supports a team win or loss. The team comradely shows how working together results in success, win or lose. What’s the point of following their journey to that ultimate match just to focus on the feeling of failure. This podcast could have had such a more positive and influential effect if they had the human story to focus on, a country’s rise from where they started from.
