First off I love your pod. When I listen to y’all it feels like when I’m discussing sports with buddies. And secretly rooting for you JJ in the raptors coaching search.
I’m sorry I didn’t send this on twitter but my mental health comes first and Twitter is a cesspool.
I only wanted to say regarding Ja Morant. In short I feel badly for the kid for 2 reasons.
1. Nothing can prepare you for the level of scrutiny you get from the public until you’re in it. The amount of pressure he must face on a daily basis must be ridiculous and I don’t think there are many 23 year olds who would or could handle it well. Myself included.
2. He clearly wants to have his boys around and have some semblance of normalcy and he should especially if you’re a celebrity and feel like you’re in a bubble.
But I also fear for him. I think of the Plaxico Burress case and how it robbed him of future earnings and separated him from his family for a time. Accidents happen and if you keep playing with fire you’ll end up getting burned.
