“Can’t believe it took me so long to listen to this - it’s fabulous!
Superficially it has all the usual tropes and elements for an epic fantasy fish-out-of-water adventure. But it’s so much more: updated and timely characters with more depth, diversity and inclusiveness than they first appear; an interesting and engaging story; and loads of fun puns and pop-culture references (but not so many they’re distracting). Nicely done!
