“I enjoyed the first season and have been enjoying the second season until the 4th & final episode. I get that the podcaster/writers/etc are feeling pressure to be woke & to attempt to connect every single thing that happens in America to race, but it was quite frankly embarrassing and cringey to listen to the host attempt to cram the square peg of this story into the round hole of racism when it couldn’t be more clear that this story simply isn’t about that. Please be aware that your soft bigotry of low expectations was on full display of not just Americans but Americans of color - when talking about who “looks” trustworthy. Perhaps YOU think good looking, well dressed white men seem more trustworthy, but you don’t speak for KC or anyone else for that matter. It’s embarrassing when white people imply POC need you to speak for them. Just stick to the facts.
Then comes the story about a guy who has done more to end child trafficking than all those in the government combined and you’re out here trying to do a hit piece on him. You have truly lost your way.”
