“Owen Jones isn’t everyone’s cup of tea; some of my friends think he’s too much of a campaigner and not enough of a journalist.
I don’t see the point in that criticism; campaigning journalists are necessary and generally have the most useful things to say (I’m a fan of James O’Brien for the same reason, and he’s an early guest). Jones’ own views and many of his associates are further to the left than I’m personally inclined, but don’t let that out you off this podcast; he makes a genuine effort to cross the divide and speak to differing voices. The latest interview with the Sunday Times authors chronicling the response to Covid is absolutely vital listening.”
