Coi Leray, born on May 11, 1997, in Boston, Massachusetts, is an American rapper and singer who was primarily raised in Hackensack, New Jersey. Being the daughter of rapper and media mogul Benzino, she was inspired by her father to pursue a career in music, starting her journey at the age of 14. Coi Leray dropped out of high school at age 16 to focus on her musical aspirations. Her early work saw the release of viral singles like "G.A.N" and "Pac Girl" in 2017, which started gaining her recognition in the music scene. Leray's debut mixtape "Everythingcoz" came out in March 2018, featuring some of her early singles. Her career got a significant boost in 2018 with the release of her single "Huddy" and subsequent signing to 1801 Records and Republic Records. This led to the release of her second mixtape "EC2" (2019), and her debut extended play "Now or Never" (2020). Her single "No More Parties" (2021), remixed with Lil Durk, reached the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100, earning a platinum certification by the RIAA. In 2022, Leray released her debut studio album "Trendsetter", which included a collaborative single with Nicki Minaj titled "Blick Blick" that also made its way to the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100.
