Best when it’s philosophy
The crew makes really fun content. They take some truly tricky material and find ways to either make it accessible for those seeking an entrance point into philosophy and/or present it in an entertaining way for those who are familiar. When the podcast delves into contemporary politics or more wider sociological matters it dilutes the mission of the show. It can also feel sometimes as if the podcasters are worried that you may not think them sufficiently woke and they do their best to reassure you. A search for Truth would seemingly be best when the truth you are seeking in unpredicated. The angle here is that it is as open as possible while reassuring you that the right political outcomes will be arrived at. However, I think it is a generally fantastic podcast and would still recommend it.
