Experiencing Coercive Control with Amanda Hart

Description
Hello and welcome to another episode of the Perception Podcast with me your host Caroline Partridge. Today I talk to former therapist, intuitive coach and mentor Amanda Hart about the publication of her long anticipated book 'Sue Me', a memoir of her experiences of domestic abuse and coercive control. She reveals the surprising backlash the book received and how it stalled at initial publication in 2015. Amanda also shares how she survived a childhood of graphic physical, emotional and mental abuse by cultivating a healing relationship with the natural world, and what can only be described as angelic experiences. Please join me as we look at life through a different lens.   KEY TAKEAWAYS Childhood abuse can imprint harmful patterns that attract abusive relationships later unless the root causes are addressed. Loving yourself and focusing on your highest potential is more transformative than hating perpetrators. Forgiveness is essential for breaking karmic ties to abusers and true healing. Speaking openly about abuse removes stigma, empowers victims and prevents further harm. Connecting deeply with nature can provide solace and strength during suffering. Mystical/intuitive experiences helped Amanda survive and now inform her work. Simple daily practices that "feed the blueprint" of your best self are anchoring and transformative. BEST MOMENTS  "It was 14 and a half years of trying to survive and not knowing if I was going to survive, and that was on a daily basis." "The emotional and mental abuse lasts, and it lasts, and it’s imprinted." "Why should we keep being told that we have to be shut up so that the perpetrators can keep perpetrating?" "If we take responsibility for what's going on in our thoughts and communication, that has a very different effect." "Social media was only created to get people antagonistic with one another." "Your intelligence is actually in the energy world. Tune into your higher nature for solutions." "It's like having a super library compared to the limited library of our past experiences." "I survived harrowing experiences because I learned to love my perpetrators."   ABOUT THE GUEST   Amanda Hart, a Mum of 3, discovered she was very different to other children during her childhood through a deep relationship with her intuitive faculty. This helped her to survive a dire upbringing when taken from her mother by her father. She was invisible behind the veil of a middle-class family hiding a very dark secret. As a consultant, Amanda has worked with clients for over 27 years to help them overcome their limiting beliefs, underlying assumptions, or negative programmes, through an innovative intuitive coaching approach. Working with their unique journey, she helps them to discover their power, purpose, and people so they can thrive, whilst igniting a global impact. Her memoir The Guys Upstairs, quite unexpectedly changed the course of her life, as well as others and now the recently updated edition, Sue Me, is the catalyst behind her campaign for greater transparency and authenticity in an uncertain world.   Socials & Links   Amanda’s book: ‘Sue Me’: https://amzn.eu/d/aRIDHJG YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtuhvjzA1xFc2FLLvpt1o9w Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AmandaHartHQ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/amandahart1/ Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.co.uk/Transform54321/   Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/amandaharthq/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@authoramandahart   ABOUT THE HOST Bio Caroline Partridge is a unique and creative individual.
