“At the tender age of twelve, my father took my and my younger brothers to Cornerstone Music Festival. The year was 1996. Somehow, my father allowed me to go see the Insyderz at their midnight showing at one of the Encore tents. Even though I have a visceral memory of being slammed up against the sweaty back of a rather well-muscled gentleman, what really sticks with me was the night that I became a true fan of ska music. Up to that point, I had only been to a Carman concert (R.I.O.T., duh). But now the world of underground Christian music was opened to me.
This podcast has brought a lot of fun memories back to me. And I hate Five Iron Frenzy. Why did I get Reese’s face tattooed on my thigh?
