Best Banjo Podcast
I came to the banjo as a complete musical novice about 1 year ago. Hearing the artists and other professionals interviewed on the show rapidly expanded my awareness and appreciation for Bluegrass and the banjo in an unexpectedly immense way over only a few dozen episodes. This podcast inspires me to practice the banjo so much more and provides color and context to the music and the instrument that I’m getting myself deeply into. I’ve listened to all of the episodes to date and a few of them three times or more! Keith is an informed and sensitive show host, his background as a musician and an audio technician allows him to ask the right questions. I just returned from Red Rocks where Billy Strings opened for Greensky Bluegrass. During the drive out there, I re-listened to the Michael Bont and the Billy Failing episodes. With their respective voices in my head, I heard their playing in a unique and more personal way. Are all the good muscians from Michigan?! Thank you for making such a valuable show, Keith!

This podcast is great for a few reasons; the guests are fantastic and legendary and secondly because Keith cares so much about the quality of the sound (something a lot of podcasts don’t pay much attention to). Keith, thanks for sharing!
