Starts out with an interesting premise but soon descends into a truly formulaic and adolescent story. Dialogue is awkward and plot problems resolved glibly (what has fire got to do with it? how did the piper exist without electricity in 1665?). Maybe this is all to be developed in a second series, but the first is so poor I shalln’t be finding out. Sorry to be negative, but this is sub-GCSE standard stuff.
