Wish I could pay to binge them all! An intriguing dive into an age-old archetype of a charming conman, who is ultimately exceedingly good at his grift. Thus far, a nicely crafted journey with just the right mix of timeline jumping, high level reporting, contemporary interviews, and dramatizations of a classic narcissist who is cutting his teeth amid a unique setting/ backdrop. A blend of post-communism and greedy capitalism gives a real sense of a certain place in time…although it feels like a relevant story that could be/ is most likely currently occurring with a different cast of characters. Give me more!

This podcast has a bunch of extended moments of barking dogs and people knocking on door saying “hello” half a dozen times. The actual telling of the story would take about 1 episode if all the distractions were boiled down.
