Carol Reese on a Life in Horticulture Extension (#13)
Listen now
Description
I invite one of my longest mentors Carol Reese onto The Plantastic Podcast this month. I’ve known Carol since I was 15 years old when I joined a local newly formed Master Gardener class in west Tennessee, and she has been a wealth of knowledge, advice, and guidance ever since. Carol worked as a regional horticulture extension specialist for the University of Tennessee’s West Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center in Jackson, Tennessee for 27 years where she inspired countless gardeners within the state with her humor and scientific approach to learning. We go deep into many topics including natives versus non-natives, how we can be smarter gardeners, and her passion for rescuing dogs.
