During the Summer months of 1774 the colonies began preparations for a meeting in Philadelphia. This process would show just how many differences remained between the colonies as everybody came in with their own specific agenda. They all had things that they were worried about, things that they wanted to accomplish. This tension between the colonies, colonies that had been competitors in business for a century and a half, would help dictate the first continental congress.
