“In 2016 I read Thomas Jefferson’s explanation of a main responsibility of the electoral college: it is NOT to simple repeat what’s been done. Jefferson stressed that the college must prevent a demigod, even backed the public, from ever being allowed into the Office of President. They are the last safe guard against a dictatorship taking over America according to Jefferson. Why isn’t anyone currently in charge making sure this is done, taking it the Supreme Court (don’t laugh) if necessary.”
