Fulfills the Title of the Show
Simon Drew’s podcast fulfills the title of the show, the “Practical Stoic,” because he focuses on how Stoic principles can be applied in the lives of the listeners. He typically presents a concept touched upon by the “Big Three” (Epictetus, Marcus Aurelius, and Seneca), then fleshes out the concept to improve the understanding of the listener, and provides examples of how the presented Stoic principle applies in the modern world. Mr. Drew does an excellent job when interviewing modern Stoic philosophers, allowing the guest the freedom to be comfortable and present their ideas, while at the same time shaping the interview so that it always includes the underlying idea of pragmatic application of Stoicism to everyday life.
