Balanced and Informative
I binged this podcast in a single afternoon while cleaning the house. I found myself feeling empathy, at times for Xi. Undoubtedly his story is a complicated one and there is no way to suss out the truth from the fiction and propaganda. Everyone has a perspective and I appreciated the journalist’s transparency regarding her relationship to the material. As the title of this review states, I found the podcast balanced and informative.

It was informative and entertaining until about the last 2 episodes where the reporter BSed about COVID. In fact everything shed said ab out COVID was blatantly false. But she is Chinese and a communist. (We dont want your sort in Australia)

People outside of China know so little of its history & politics. This account of Xi Jing Ping’s life and career is illuminating and well documented. worth listening to.

Great podcast series! 4 stars because Sue Ling does not seems to be a student of Putonghua (standard Chinese). ‘Xi’ is pronounced as ‘she’ not ‘’sea’. I wish she had taken the time to research this instead of perpetuating her misunderstanding !
