“Hi Ed and Andrew, Manuel and Joy here again :)
Just listened to how the housing market has a ‘cycle’ it rises, tapers, drops a little and then rises again, over an approx 7 year cycle.
Our question is on interest rates. When my folks brought in the late 70’s, early 80’s it was around 20%! 40 years later it is at an all time low here in NZ.
ARE INTEREST RATES CYCLIC?
Or is it only reactive to global markets, market fluctuations, economy stimulus? Or can you look back and see a trend in order to ‘intelligently predict’ forward for people to know when to slow down buying so as to not over capitalize and hurt the pocket when interest rates rise?
Is there enough data to show a trend Ed?
Far out I hope that makes sense!
Thanks team
M&J”
