“I didn’t have any interest in hearing what these two guys had to say. I didn’t really enjoy Murray’s style with the media when he was at Georgia and I didn’t like his social media persona after he left. And, God bless Drew, I didn’t care what the punter thought. Admittedly, I was being shallow. But I just listed for the first time after I saw a clip of the podcast on Twitter. And I was very wrong. There is a certain rhythm to the type of podcast I enjoy. You can’t be too hyped and you can’t yell and preach but, if you’re too chill, I feel like I’ve just walked into a lecture room where there’s like three people attending the lecture and then there’s the one speaker and the energy is just really low. And it’s uncomfortable. I know I haven’t mentioned substance. The substance is there. But it’s that energy paired with these guys really being themselves and saying that what they think — no posturing. I was just really impressed and feel like I’ve found something that’s both smart, thoughtful and also fun and unpredictable.”
