“Update: Unfortunately I can no longer stand behind this review. Her old content (I’m talking years and years ago) is still incredible - it did help me. But now I know based on other interviews she’s done that she was playing a role. And while that doesn’t change the bones of what she taught me, it leaves such a bad taste in my mouth about her authenticity. And of course in the recent years she’s abandoned everything she used to preach and operates from a completely different worldview. While that’s her right, I can’t get on board with it and am no longer a listener. What’s unfortunate is that instead of just respectfully acknowledging that she’s changed and admitting that her target audience has also changed, she had to go and treat her original audience - the very people that gave her her success - horribly on social media under the false guise of “I’m just being myself finally.” Okay - well if this is the real Allie, I don’t want any part in it 🤷🏼♀️ I truly truly wish I could still stand behind my original review.
I say that a lot of podcasts are life changing but this podcast has literally changed my life in such tangible and practical ways. Allie’s take on minimalism has led us to a full house purge, which in turn has helped us to once again love where we live. I spend way less time picking up after my kids and they are so much more content with less. Wow - I literally share episodes to my social media at least once a week. This podcast is gold.”
