It should have sounded more like this:
Trump: “I did the most for veterans out of anyone ever, including the dinosaurs.”
Biden: “Your idea of honoring our veterans included selling our country’s national nuclear secrets and using Top Secret documents as stocking stuffers.”
Closing speech: I stand before you, not as a felon, not as a an adjudicated rapist, not as a criminally fraudulent scam artist. Not as a person in power who in most cases would be on a sex offender list, and certainly not as a man who believes women should be property of the state….People in this country, ALL people, deserve a fair and just existence. People deserve the right to say, “I don’t want an abortion, even if it’s going to kill me.” And people should STILL have the right to make one of the most difficult decisions of their lifetime when needed. If you don’t believe in abortion, don’t have one. If the Bible is the only book you ever want to read, the please help yourself. If you want to introduce yourself to world of ideas, viewpoints, and opinions, that ability is now at the fingertips of almost every person in this country.
If you hate the LGBTQ community, though I disagree with the sentiment, you are entitled to your hate and the ostracizing and terrorization of your family should you CHOOSE to be so cruel. You are also welcome to overcome your fears and learn to love your fellow human beings.
Life is full of choices and democracy is an ongoing experiment. We can succumb to bigotry, hate, and fear, OR we can push ourselves to be better, treat our children better, recognize events that create trauma at an early age and diminish a child in every way possible - self esteem, confidence, problem solving skills, coping mechanisms that keep people from addiction etc. We are gaining the skills and knowledge to make life easier and better. Is that what you want? Or do you want a dystopian nation with internment camps, only one religion, no civil rights, no retirement, death upon dissent? Those are you choices this year America. What will you choose?”
