The information is fairly banal. But makes it all the harder to listen to is that Maddow communicates it like she knows all about it and we do not. That’s okay if the information is a bit more sophisticated. But if not, the delivery simply comes off as patronizing. Also, Maddow has a habit of constantly repeating the last sentence of the last sound bite. We can hear. And probably most annoying, she repeats the same information again and again. We get it. The former MI state chair was led off the stage by cops. We don’t need to hear the anecdote half a dozen times in the same story. My apologies for being so critical. I’m just used to podcast hosts (and guests) presenting more sophisticated and nuanced news.
